Do i have to eat clean in order to build muscle?

Okay, now i have to compromise with my diets. Therefore, is 100% clean diet necessary?? or i could (becoz i'm in college) have some processed food?? lets say i will have non processed food for every breakfast ( not eating outside). Afternoon and night for thursday , friday , saturday and sunday most probably i could eat at home. Which mean i will be cooking brown rice, vegetables and lean meat. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, i will be in the college for whole day. What do you all suggest me to eat?? There's a cheap store which sells rice, meat and vegetables but it contains white rice and oily food. Sometimes, i even eat white bread because i'm hungry... Can you all suggest me?? I have protein shakes though.. Do i have to eat 1g per lbs of lean muscle?? Some ppl say the statement is not true...
