Do boxing fans dickride older generation fighters?

Yes in some cases i have seen people dickride older generation fighters. Nostalgia sometimes gets in the way of accurately breaking down a fight between an oldschool fighter and a new era fighter. Given, its hard to breakdown a fight like that a lot of times because of the rules, and the tempo of the fight game in general as far as who fought who, and how often, under what circumstances. But, yeah..there have been some cases of fight breakdowns between oldschools and new schools that i strongly disagree with.
